Iberian Chapter Annual Meeting

Gijón, 20th to 22nd April 2022

Gijón/Xixón is the most populated and dynamic city in Asturias, a region in the North of Spain famous for its spectacular landscapes, for its mining and industrial tradition and for the survival of a singular Atlantic culture.

You will discover a city with a history over 2,000 years old, while still being young, fresh and creative. It is the liveliest and most bustling city in the Green Spain. A crossroads for historical paths, with the Coastal Camino de Santiago (Path of St. James) passing through it and being the starting point for the Vía de la Plata (Silver Route).

Gijón will welcome you as a cosmopolitan, open, safe and untroubled city, packed with charm and offering many possibilities for all kinds of visitors.

We are sure the people of Gijón will welcome you with open arms and conveying their own enthusiasm for this city bathed by the Cantabrian Sea.

The hospitality of our people is well-known throughout our country. Surveys prove that every year for the past 20, the pleasantness of those of Gijón is the aspect most valued both by holiday tourists and visitors attending meetings. Therefore, the nature and attitude of our citizens is one of the strong points of this destination. Their passion for our city helps us in our work.

Dear friends,

As President of ICCA Iberian Chapter, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Annual Meeting which will take place on 20th to 22nd April 2022 in the fantastic city of Gijon.

Christoph Tessamar.  President ICCA

Dear member of ICCA Iberian Chapter,

It will a pleasure to host this Annual Meeting at Gijón. MICE industry has been all along on our economic development strategies since a very long time. However our beautiful city is still a pearl to discover to our beloved industry friends.

We are certainly sure you will be surprised, not only for the size of our infamous Cachopo, but for all the possibilities Gijón could offer.

Therefore we hope we can see each other again very soon, learn and enjoy a bit too.

Kind regards.
